The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 for the people of the right hand 38

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
