Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
