Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
