The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
