The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
