The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
