In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
A. L. R. These are the ayats of the Book of Wisdom. 1 Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves?- that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!" 2 Surely, your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave. That is Allah, your Lord; so worship Him (Alone). Then, will you not remember? 3 Unto Him is the return of you all - the promise of Allah is truth. Verily He beginneth the creation, then He shall repeat it, that he may recompense those who believed and did righteous works with equity. And those who disbelieved - for them shall be draught of boiling water and a torment afflictive for they were wont to disbelieve. 4 It is He Who created the sun radiating and the moon shining and appointed positions for it, for you to know the number of the years, and the account; Allah has not created it except with the truth; He explains the verses in detail for the people of knowledge. 5 In the alternation of night and day, and what God has created in the heavens and the earth -- surely there are signs for a godfearing people. 6 Surely those who do not hope in Our meeting and are pleased with this world's life and are content with it, and those who are heedless of Our communications: 7 (As for) those, their abode is the fire because of what they earned. 8 But those who believe and act for a beneficial end will be guided by their Lord for their good faith. At their feet shall flow streams of running water in gardens of delight. 9 Their cry therein will be: hallowed be Thou! O Allah! and their greeting therein: peace! And the end of their cry will be: all praise unto Allah, the Lord of the worlds 10
