Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
