Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
