Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 They say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
