Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Noble and recording; 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
