And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
