Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
