O Prophet, say to thy wives and daughters and the believing women, that they draw their veils close to them; so it is likelier they will be known, and not hurt. God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 59 ۞ THUS IT IS: if the hypocrites, and they in whose hearts is disease, and they who, by spreading false rumours, would cause disturbances in the City [of the Prophet] desist not [from their hostile doings]; We shall indeed give thee mastery over them, [O Muhammad] - and then they will not remain thy neighbours in this [city] for more than a little while: 60 They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy). 61 This was the tradition of God with those who lived before. There will never be any change in the tradition of God. 62 People ask you regarding the Last Day; proclaim, “Its knowledge is only with Allah; and what do you know, the Last Day may really be near!” 63 Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell). 64 Abiding therein forever, they will not find a protector or a helper. 65 On the day when their faces will be overturned being roasted inside the fire, they will say, “Alas – if only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed His Noble Messenger!” 66 They shall say, 'Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and great ones, and they led us astray from the way. 67 O our Lord! give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse. 68
