The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

All praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds, 2 The Compassionate, the Merciful. 3 King of the Day of Judgement. 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not of those against whom Thou art wrathful, nor of those who are astray. 7

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
