We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 These people say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
