Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard, 26 and before him We created the jinn from smokeless fire. 27 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; 28 "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him." 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He said: "It does not behove of me to prostrate myself before a human being whom You have created out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud." 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 But not such of them as are Thy bondmen single-hearted. 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 Surely, you shall have no power over My true servants, except those misguided ones who choose to follow you. 42 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. 43 Unto it are seven portals; unto each portal is a portion of them assigned. 44
