The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
