Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
