T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
