Say: "Who guards you from Ar-Rahman by night and by day?" Yet from a mention of their Lord they turn away. 42 Do they [really think that they] have deities that could shield them from Us? Those [alleged deities] are not [even] able to succour themselves: hence, neither can they [who worship them hope to] be aided [by them] against Us. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 Say thou: I only warn you by the revelation; and the deaf hearken not unto the call when they are warned. 45 And if a whiff of your Lord’s punishment were to touch them, they would certainly say, “Woe to us – we were indeed unjust!” 46 We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account. 47 And indeed We gave Moosa and Haroon the Judgement* and a light and an advice for the pious. (* The Holy Book Taurat.) 48 Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive. 49 This is a Blessed Admonition that We have revealed. Are you, then, going to reject it? 50
