The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
