HALLOWED is He who has set up in the skies great constellations, and has placed among them a [radiant] lamp and a light-giving moon. 61 And it is He who made the night and day a succession for whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful. 62 (Among) the servants of the Beneficent God are those who walk gently on the earth and when addressed by the ignorant ones, their only response is, "Peace be with you." 63 And they who pass the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing. 64 Who say: "O our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell: Its punishment is surely continuous. 65 verily, how evil an abode and a station!"; 66 And those who when they expend, are neither extravagant nor sparing, and it is a medium in-between. 67 And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 except he who repents and believes and does good works those, Allah will change their evil deeds into good deeds; Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful. 70 Whosoever repents and does the right, will have turned back to God by way of repentance; 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 who do not behave like the blind and the deaf, when the Revelations of their Lord are recited to them for admonition; 73 And they who say: O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us guides to those who guard (against evil). 74 They will all receive Paradise as their reward for their forbearance and patience, where they will be greeted with, "Peace be with you." 75 And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. 77
