The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
