Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 But do not grieve over them, and neither be distressed by the false arguments which they devise [against Gods messages]. 70 They ask, "When the Day of Judgment will come, if it is true at all?" 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 Lo! thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee; 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
