Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Do you not understand? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 They used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
