Remember also Our servant Job; when he called to his Lord, 'Behold, Satan has visited me with weariness and chastisement.' 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
