Saad 5 of 5
Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
