Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 A’in-Seen-Qaf. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 2 Thus God, the Powerful, the Wise, sends revelation to you as He did to those before you. 3 To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. He is the High, the Exalted. 4 The heavens may well nigh rend asunder from above while the angels proclaim the praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Lo, it is Allah, and He alone, Who is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. 5 And [as for] those who take protectors besides Him, God is watching them and you are not a guardian over them. 6 We have revealed the Quran to you in the Arabic language so that you could warn the people of the Mother Town (Mecca) and those around it of the inevitable Day of Resurrection when some will go to Paradise and others to hell. 7 Had God wanted, He could have made them all one single nation, but He grants mercy to whomever He wills. The unjust will have no guardian or helper. 8 Or have they chosen protecting friends besides Him? But Allah, He (alone) is the Protecting Friend. He quickeneth the dead, and He is Able to do all things. 9
