NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
