We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 The Word will not be changed in My presence, nor am I an oppressor at all unto My bondmen. 29
