The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 and shade extended, 30 and flowing water 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
