Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
تشير بداية ونهاية كل سورة الى السور المنزلة قبلها و بعدها. يمكنك الضغط على أي منها للذهاب إليها.
The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there.
