The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
