▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 and you are watching at that time 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
