Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 and that hour you are watching 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
