The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
