The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
