The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
