The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
