Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
