The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
