The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
