Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up thy heart, 1 And removed from you your burden, 2 The which did gall thy back?- 3 And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? 4 But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 5 Most certainly, there is ease with hardship. 6 So, when you have finished (your prayer), labor (in supplication), 7 and to your Lord turn [all] your attention. 8
