The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is! 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 (It is) a Fire which is extremely hot. 11
