The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in towering columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
