The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
