And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire. 27 And recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a man from ringing clay of loam moulded. 28 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 save Iblis; he refused to be among those bowing. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 Iblis said: "My Lord! Grant me respite till the Day when they will be resurrected." 36 Allah said: verily then thou art of the respited: 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
