The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 pay their religious tax 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
