1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
